Pharmacognosy is the study of medicines or crude drugs produced from natural sources such as plants, microbes, and animals. It includes analysis of their biological, chemical, biochemical, and physical properties.

The Pharmacognosy laboratory is equipped with modern instruments like Projection Microscope, Compound Microscope, Dissecting Microscope, Digital Camera, etc. Students get hands-on training in morphological, microscopical, and phytochemical analysis of crude drugs.
